We are the anointed of God. With this anointing God will lead us into His Grace and Blessings to use our anointing for the good of others. I invite you to claim and live in your anointing.

God’s word is always on time. What a blessing it is that through our Baptism we are God’s anointed through Jesus Christ our Lord. Be reminded that the anointing of God is over your life. The first reading this week reminds us that no one can do harm to the anointed of God, or place their hands on God’s anointed and live!

“Do not harm him, for who can lay hands on the LORD’s anointed and remain unpunished?” Samuel 26:13

God’s Word is clear that God’s anointing is upon us 2 Corinthians 1:20-22, when Paul teaches that :

For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory. And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, and who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

When we are reborn through baptism the anointing of God puts the Holy Spirit into our hearts. This puts a mark (indelible mark ) or impression of royal ownership on our lives, which authenticates and guarantees who we are and to whom we belong. You and I belong to God, we are God’s Property!, as I used to tell my young people.

Daughter-ship and sonship of God that we possess provides us with power, ability and strength to live as ambassadors for Christ. Each baptized Christian is to be Christ’s representative to the world, the ambassador speaks on His behalf and acts with His authority.

This leads us into the second part of our reflection namely that the anointing and power given to us by the Holy Spirit is meant to be shared generously. This giving and sharing even extends to our enemies.

Jesus teaches us in Luke 6

“Give to everyone who asks of you,
and from the one who takes what is yours do not demand it back.
Do to others as you would have them do to you.”

“Give, and gifts will be given to you;
a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing,
will be poured into your lap.
For the measure with which you measure
will in return be measured out to you.”

God desires and will do something Big with your life. The anointing that is on you is meant for greatness; God’s greatness shown in the blessings our life. The Anointing, it’s in you, God’s Power, it’s in you, God’s ability it’s in you,
St Joseph, God is about to blow Your Mind. God wants to do something Big through you. Let the Anointed of the Lord say Amen, Let the redeemed of the Lord say amen!
Rev Mike Jr’s words ring out to me. He reminds us that:

You see God is Bigger than the negative voices. God is greater than the naysayers. The voices that said we wouldn’t make it. Voices in the past that said we were being closed, sold off, unsupported and uncared for. NO! God is doing something Big in Saint Joseph, God is moving in a Big way to bring about a Big Blessing. So true is God’s word today. No! You cannot lay your hand on God’s anointed and prosper. You are the anointed of the Lord, God’s grace, mercy, protection and power is all over your life. Don’t let anyone tell you, that you can’t become and be great. Something Big is going to happen in 2022 for St. Joseph. I don’t know what it is but it’s going to be BIG!
