This week we are called to find in our faith and relationship with Jesus Christ the ability to Rejoice. Often hardship and difficulty are cause for great sadness, but for the person of faith we know that the Lord is in control. There is an old saying, “The world can’t take away my joy, because the world didn’t give it to me.” In the midst of a very challenging world our Advent Season moves us to a higher level. The people watching and waiting, are now rejoicing because God’s strength and power is promised over our lives.

The ability to walk in the power of the anointing can move our hearts and we see in our experience of this great unction God’s very action moving within us. So let’s get down to the word of God this week. The ability for us to be a people of great joy starts with Isaiah 61 when we here these words of the prophet:

“The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me; He has sent me to bring good news to the afflicted,”

As baptized Christians the spirit of the Lord our God is truly upon us. And this presence of the Spirit in us is in it’s very self an anointing that is effective, and truly does something. The anointing that we receive and celebrate is meant for others. We are sent living and acting in the power of the anointing to be a source of Good News and great joy that moves lives of the afflicted, brokenhearted. The heart that is broken is healed and transformed to joy through the God’s breaking forth into our lives. Those who lives are weighed down by the troubles and challenges of life receive from the Lord grace and blessing. The very pain, and heartache we endure at this time, today the prophet Isaiah pronounces a year a favor.

“To announce a year of favor from the LORD and a day of

vindication by our God; To comfort all who mourn;^“

Let us see in the Rejoice Sunday the ability to God to pronounce His love over all that pains us, disturbs us. This time of year is painful for so many of us who have lost loved ones this year. So many have lost jobs and life seems to simple coming apart. And you might find yourself asking, where is all the joy in this. I believe that the joy is in the sure and certain assurance that God has not left us alone. We have not been abandoned to the darkness of death and dire catastrophe, but rather our light will come.

Here St Paul in his first writings as he encourages us:

” Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing.
In all circumstances give thanks,
for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.

¡Alegrense siempre en el Señor, porque Es nuestra Fuerza!

Esta semana estamos llamados a encontrar en nuestra fe y relación con Jesucristo la capacidad de regocijarnos. A menudo las dificultades y las dificultades son motivo de gran tristeza, pero para la persona de fe sabemos que el Señor tiene el control. Hay un viejo dicho: “El mundo no me puede quitar la alegría, porque el mundo no me la dio”. En medio de un mundo muy desafiante, nuestra temporada de Adviento nos lleva a un nivel superior. La gente que observa y espera, ahora se regocija porque la fuerza y el poder de Dios se prometen a lo largo de nuestras vidas.

La capacidad de caminar en el poder de la unción puede mover nuestros corazones y vemos en nuestra experiencia de esta gran acción de Dios moviéndose dentro de nosotros. Así que vayamos a la palabra de Dios esta semana. La capacidad de que seamos un pueblo de gran gozo comienza con Isaías 61 cuando aquí estas palabras del profeta:

“El espíritu del Señor DIOS está sobre mí, porque el Senor me ha ungido; Me ha enviado para traer buenas noticias a los afligidos”,
Como cristianos bautizados, el espíritu del Señor nuestro Dios está verdaderamente sobre nosotros. Y esta presencia del Espíritu en nosotros es en sí mismo una unción que es efectiva, y realmente hace algo. La unción que recibimos y celebramos está destinada a los demás. Somos enviados a vivir y actuar en el poder de la unción para ser una fuente de Buena Nueva y gran gozo que mueve vidas de los afligidos y desconsolados. El corazón que se rompe se sana y se transforma en gozo a través de la ruptura de Dios en nuestras vidas. Aquellos que viven son agobiados por los problemas y desafíos de la vida que reciben del Señor la gracia y la bendición. El dolor y el dolor que soportamos en este momento, hoy el profeta Isaías pronuncia un año de favor.

“Anunciar un año de favor de Jehová y un día de
reivindicación de nuestro Dios; Para consolar a todos los que lloran;”

Veamos en el domingo de regocijo la capacidad de Dios de pronunciar Su amor sobre todo lo que nos duele, nos perturba. Esta época del año es dolorosa para muchos de nosotros que hemos perdido a sus seres queridos este año. Muchos han perdido trabajos y la vida parece simplemente separarse. Y tal vez te encuentres preguntando,dónde está toda la alegría en esto. Creo que la alegría está en la seguridad segura y cierta de que Dios no nos ha dejado solos. No hemos sido abandonados a la oscuridad de la muerte y la terrible catástrofe, sino que nuestra luz vendrá.

Aquí san Pablo en sus primeros escritos, ya que nos anima:

” Alegrense siempre. Oren sin cesar.
En todas las circunstancias dar gracias,
porque esta es la voluntad de Dios para ti en Cristo Jesús.
