DO NOT BE AFRAID: GOD IS WITH US!
This fourth week of Advent, our hearts and minds near to the announcement of the miraculous birth of our Savior, Emmanuel” God is with Us”. As we hear the infancy narrative of Matthew’s Gospel and we find a young teenage girl. Mary being told she will give birth to the Chosen One who will Save His people from their sins.
The Word we hear says: Do not be afraid! As we hear in the Gospel and as the great Pope and Saint John Paul Il as he spoke to the youth: Hello He reminded our young people not to be afraid. Our world, our nation and our church need youth who are not afraid. Not afraid to live their faith, not afraid to pursue and grow in a relationship with Christ. I encourage our youth not to be afraid to show and share your faith.
Being young and having faith may seem frightening. Doing what your faith calls you too, may seem weird or strange. But your trust says do not afraid. Like Mary who pondered the Angel’s message in her heart. She didn’t understand but that lack of understanding didn’t leave her frozen in fear, rather she stepped out in faith. So Don’t be afraid, God is with you!

¡NO TENGAS MIEDO: ¡DIOS ESTÁ CON NOSOTROS!
En esta cuarta semana de Adviento, nuestros corazones y mentes están cerca del anuncio del
nacimiento milagroso de nuestro Salvador, Emmanuel "Dios está con nosotros". Cuando escuchamos la
narrativa de la infancia del Evangelio de Mateo, encontramos a una joven adolescente: a María, a quien
se le dice que dará a luz al Elegido que salvará a su pueblo de sus pecados.
La Palabra que escuchamos dice: ¡No tengas miedo! Como escuchamos en el Evangelio y como el gran
Papa y San Juan Pablo II, cuando hablaba a los jóvenes, les recordaba a nuestros jóvenes que no tuvieran
miedo. Nuestro mundo, nuestra nación y nuestra iglesia necesitan jóvenes valientes y sin miedo. Sin
miedo de vivir la fe, sin temor de proseguir y crecer en una relación con Cristo. Ánimo a nuestros
jóvenes, adelante, continúen sin temor y muestren y compartan su fe.
Ser joven en estos días y tener fe puede causar pánico o pavor. Hacer lo que tu fe te llama también
puede parecer extraño o aterrador. Pero tu confianza dice que no tengas miedo. Como María, que
reflexionó sobre el mensaje del ángel en su corazón. Ella no entendió, pero esa falta de comprensión no
la dejó congelada por el terror, sino que salió con fe. ¡Así que no tengas miedo, Dios está contigo!
