There is Power in Prayer

As we look back on the past year as many do we encounter despair  with fear and anxiety are in the air.   If we turn on the TV, or our IPads and tablets, from News posts to News Papers, from Radio to podcasts we are overwhelmed by a nation and a world that seems to have run amuck.   From the White House to the State House, from the Governors mention to your hamlet and to each home.   Our nation and neighborhoods even South of the Boarder to the South Pacific Sea, we find ourselves wondering,  what’s next?   From terrorists attacking to marches of the Alt-Right, the crowds in the streets marching for equality, and respect for all persons and life.

In the midst of it all we must claim our Authority which is our destiny.   Paul reminds us to have No anxiety at All.  We must through prayer and petition bring it all to God.  Your Authority, your power is found through prayer and petition.   It is here that we find our peace.   In the midst of Spiritual warfare it is not flesh but principalities and powers.  We conqour overwhelmingly because we are in Christ.   We live in the Authority of Christ in our lives over our lives.

Paul says in Romans 18:15-ff The Spirit you have received does not make you salves so that you live in fear…….   The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit, that we are God’s children.  Now if we are God’s children, then we are heirs, heirs of God co-heirs with Christ.
We get the Authority that Christ has.   Authority truly is in the air, we tap into this power through prayer, a unity with the one has holds all power and authority at whom all will bow in submission to his glory and power and authority.
